Welcome to the SWORD International website. SWORD is an acronym for “Seeing the World Open and Releasing Destiny”. Through selfless acts of compassion and consideration for those in need, all of us can see the world open to new ways and ideas economically, agriculturally, medically and spiritually.

Through these ‘acts’ we can see destiny released in lives of those who find themselves in situations of dire need and lack the opportunity for a full life. Sword International is a humanitarian aid and relief organization providing training in viable health and agricultural solutions for underdeveloped communities affected by poverty, disease and devastation. Sword is in the beginning stages of development with the goal of becoming a global resource for people to enact acts of compassion on those who need it most. We will provide information and opportunities for people to get involved in helping others in areas hit by natural disasters, drought and famine.

Futures For Africa - Grain Donation Program

Drought and famine are common occurrences in sub-Sahara Africa. Often times the rainy season does not provide the moisture needed to grow a sustainable crop to provide food for the families. Without outside assistance these families are forced to pay much higher prices for food or go without food altogether. With no crops to sell or use for food, many families are forced to go without food and are subject to starvation and malnutrition.

Through the Futures for Africa grain donation program, SWORD will be able to buy grain and strategically distribute it to areas devastated by drought and famine. Profits made from the sale of donated grain in the US market will fund SWORD’s food aid projects. SWORD will purchase grain where it is available in nearby African countries and deliver it to areas in need.

International Relief Project - Operation Skeeter Beater People

The first phase of OSB has been completed with great success. The operation was conducted in the Mlolo district near the city of Nsanje in southern Malawi (MAP). SWORD International distributed 500 insecticide treated mosquito nets (ITN’s) covering some 37 different village areas. The ITN’s were distributed to 500 recipients through three local church centers. Our distribution targeted the elderly age groups
of these village areas. In the past, this age group had not benefited from malaria prevention initiatives performed by other government or non-governmental groups.
